School House Rock (Conspiracy Theory Rock)

Posted by admin as conspiracy theory

This cartoon appeared in the original March broadcast of the SNL episode, but was cut from the summer rerun. SNL producer Lorne Michaels told the New York Daily News he “didn’t think it worked comedically.” In an interview, Harry Shearer said “The truth is that Lorne wanted to continue working at 30 Rock.”

Schoolroom Rocky’s back on the block
With Conspiracy Theory Rock

It’s a media-opoly. A media-opoly.
The whole media’s controlled by a few corporations.
Thanks to deregulation by the FCC.

You mean Disney, Fox, Westinghouse and good ol’ GE?

They own networks from CBS to CNBC.

They can use them to say whatever they please
And put down the opinions of anyone who disagrees.

Or stuff about PCBs

What are PCBs?

They come from electric power plants built by Westinghouse and GE.

They can give you lots of cancer
That can hurt your body

But on network TV
You’ll rarely hear anything bad about the nuclear industry

Like when Westinghouse was sued for fraud?

Which time?

When GE made defective bolts it was an unreported crime
Or when it was boycotted for operating nuclear bomb plants
just to squeeze a dime…

That’s a footnote, by the way.

A footnote protects you from folks who doubt what you say.
Now maybe the voices in my head will go away.

But the bigshots don’t care.
They’re all sitting pretty thanks to corporate welfare.

What’s that now?

They get billions in subsidies from the government. It’s supposed to create jobs but that’s not how it’s spent.
They use PACs and soft money to support Congressmen
Who will vote for weapons programs again and again
And let them dump toxic waste where the young ones play.

I hear GE made the bullets that shot JFK.

You contribute to this chain
Every time you buy a product
Sponsored on this show.

That’s what NBC doesn’t want you to know.
So the next time

‘Please stand by’
‘Please stand by’
It means there’s technical difficulty
Supposedly
So if you see
A ‘Please Stand By’
You’ll know it’s all part of GE’s big lie.

Why’d they take Norm MacDonald away?

Because he made too many jokes about O.J..

But Lorne Michaels overruled.

Now don’t be fooled.
He and Marion Barry went to the same high school.

because if you look …
because if you look at oil and gas companies, theyre making record profits too
as long as people keep buying the oil, theyll keep the prices high

classic video. …
classic video. funny how they told lorne to cut the video from the rerun. of course these companies won’t report bad news about themselves when they do the fluff they call news

If we’re spreading …
If we’re spreading corporate interests in oil, then why in the are we paying $4 a gallon for oil. I wish it was a war over oil. That way we’d be paying less. By the way, poor, sad Iraq is sitting on a gold mine of over 150 billion dollars in oil revenue and yet they spend none of it, while we are spending trillions to free their asses.

Time Warner
Time Warner

This reminds me of …
This reminds me of the movie

V for Vendeta

How have they done …
How have they done that? Please cite your sources.

I am not on …
I am not on someone’s payroll. I wish I was, but right now I’m not. The only reason I got started with all is is to state that CBS Corporation is owned by CBS Corporation, with National Amusements holding a majority stake.

This cartoon was from 1997, 11 years ago! I fail to see how Westinghouse still owns CBS. You were looking at the wrong page. The CBS Corp. that exists now is owned by CBS (technically by National Amusements).

I am NOT on someone’s payroll, and I am not a troll! OK?

Well, at least you …
Well, at least you admit the truth…finally.

“And what harm can National Amusements do? How has Disney lied to the American public?”

Other than propagandizing for the war machine, and skewing election results, and blacking-out presidential candidates, and covering up corporate crime, and trampling on the Bill of Rights…not much, I guess.

And what harm can …
And what harm can National Amusements do? How has Disney lied to the American public? What is the happiest company in the NYSE doing propaganda-wise?

Evidently, you’re …
Evidently, you’re not a 19-year-old, you’re on someone’s payroll. Why such a vested interest in the perception of corporate America by a person only a year removed from high school?

Gotta hand it to you, you put a little more work into your page than most trolls do.

You must be …
You must be referring to the CBS Corporation (1997) page.

As per Wikipedia: “A new company, keeping the Viacom name was spun off from CBS. CBS, not Viacom, retains control of the over-the-air broadcasting, TV production, and publishing assets formerly owned by the larger company. However, National Amusements retains majority control of both firms. In a sense, this was a repeat of the 1971 spinoff.”

Look that up on Wikipedia.

Why do you use …
Why do you use ellipses instead of the entire quote?! Here’s the entire quote from Wiki, the quote you censored to back up your position:
“A new company, keeping the Viacom name was spun off from CBS. CBS, not Viacom, retains control of the over-the-air broadcasting, TV production, and publishing assets formerly owned by the larger company. However, NATIONAL AMUSEMENTS RETAINS MAJORITY CONTROL OF BOTH FIRMS.”(emph. mine)

Since you blocked …
Since you blocked me, I’ll answer this way.

I was right all along, as per Wikipedia:
“Founded in 1886 as Westinghouse Electric Company and later renamed Westinghouse Electric Corporation by George Westinghouse. The company purchased CBS in 1995 and was renamed CBS Corporation in 1997.”

As per Wikipedia:
” …

As per Wikipedia:
“Founded in 1886 as Westinghouse Electric Company and later renamed Westinghouse Electric Corporation by George Westinghouse. The company purchased CBS in 1995 and was renamed CBS Corporation in 1997.”

I was right all along. Westinghouse owns CBS, and Sumner Redstone owns majority stock in CBS.

That’s why you read …
That’s why you read a newspaper. You’re not supposed to believe everything you hear or see.

How then do you find the true news? Where is the truth, mouse?

Like I said, Westinghouse does NOT own CBS Corporation. I repeat, Westinghouse does NOT own CBS Corporation.

This has nothing to …
This has nothing to do with how TV news companies operate. CBS Corporation is its own company. They split with Viacom 2 years ago. Westinghouse does NOT own CBS Corporation. I repeat, Westinghouse does NOT own CBS Corporation.

And I have an answer too: watch?v=oW0gGy_95Qw, watch?v=0Ozp9t1vdUY, and watch?v=9conJDcYRJU

If you have a problem accepting that, please get back to work. Your boss is probably wondering what you’re doing.

This was aired by …
This was aired by NBC. NBC is owned by General Electric, who also owns Raytheon. Raytheon is the fifth largest defense contractor in the world, and the largest manufacturer of guided missiles and nuclear warheads in the world. Everything in this vid is true, if you do the research. The news media is the propaganda arm of corporate America, they tell you what they WANT you to believe, not what is true. THEY LIE TO YOU FOR MONEY. Can you not get your head around that?

And as the Jeffrey …
And as the Jeffrey Wigand case shows, when the parent company says “jump”, the subsidiary says “how high”.

Still have doubts? /watch?v=onNzrNEFs1E

I also recommend you rent the movie “Network”, you’ll see how television news companies REALLY operate. They answer to the stockholders. If another company owns majority stock, then that company, NOT the network, determines the content of the programming.

If you have a problem accepting that, then go back to sleep.

Cartoons? Dude, …
Cartoons? Dude, this IS a cartoon. Speak for yourself.

According to Wikipedia: “CBS, not Viacom, retains control of the over-the-air broadcasting, TV production, and publishing assets formerly owned by the larger company… However, in this case, CBS retained virtually all of the prior firm’s broadcast TV assets, including its various syndication companies.”

So there! And that’s from the Wikipedia site.

Provide a source, …
Provide a source, or admit you’re wrong. Better yet, go watch your cartoons, junior, grown-ups are trying to talk. You’re 19 years old, you don’t know squat. I can tell by your vids and faves that you don’t do any research, you seem to occupy yourself with the most shallow and trivial pop culture imaginable. Yet you roll up onto a political video and try to “enlighten” everyone with your vast storehouse of wisdom.
Where’s your proof/source? I provided mine!

Actually, it is. It …
Actually, it is. It “divorced” Viacom to become its own company.

Actually, I was …
Actually, I was wrong, Westinghouse no longer owns CBS Corp. As per Wikipedia:

“Sumner Redstone, whose company National Amusements is CBS’s majority shareholder, serves as Chairman. The company’s name came into being on December 31, 2005 and began trading on the NYSE on January 3, 2006. Until then, the corporation was known as Viacom, and is the legal successor to said company.”

I repeat, CBS Corp. is NOT its own company.

No, that’s not true …
No, that’s not true. CBS Corp. owns CBS Corp. They’re their own company.
